Membership Requirements

Krewe du Lac-Kemah welcomes individuals who are passionate about community, celebration, and the spirit of Mardi Gras.

Members must share a passion for community, celebration, and the traditions of Mardi Gras on the Gulf Coast.

Annual Dues

Active membership requires payment of annual dues, which support parade operations, charitable initiatives, and krewe events.

Parade Participation

Members are expected to participate in the annual Kemah parade and contribute to float building and event planning.

Sponsorship

All prospective members must be sponsored or recommended by a current Krewe du Lac-Kemah member in good standing.

Event Attendance

Members are encouraged to attend krewe socials, galas, and planning meetings throughout the year.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our members embrace our mission to give back to the Kemah community through charitable works.

Release of Liability

The undersigned is a voluntary participant in the 2026 year, and all years associated with Krewe du Lac-Kemah activities, including parties, fund raisers, parades, and socials. In consideration of participating in such events, I assume full and complete responsibility and liability for any and all damages, personal injury, or other loss of any nature. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless from any and all liability, claims, damages, and causes of action of any nature associated with the aforementioned activities: Krewe du Lac, its Board of Directors, Officers, and Members; City of Kemah; Galveston County; Sponsors, promoter, business owners, and partners; Mardi Gras Galveston Organizers; and any parade sponsor in which Krewe du Lac is an official participant. Note: Each individual member must complete this liability form even if she/he joined the Krewe as part of a couple.

Membership Dues

Annual dues are $40 per person for a year of membership and all the benefits of being on the Krewe team. Payment may be made via Cash, Check (payable to "Krewe du Lac"), or Credit Card.
